Head Coello Pro 2026 Padel Racket

£207.17

The Head Coello Pro is Arturo Coello's own diamond and the heaviest racket in Head's 2026 range: 370 g of carbon with a 272 mm balance, built for advanced attackers who finish points overhead. Head designed it with Coello, who won the first London P1 at Olympia this August with Agustín Tapia.

It's a superb racket and a demanding one. Most of the people who type its name into Google would be better served by its lighter sibling, and we say why below.

  • Diamond, head-heavy
  • 370 g (±10 g)
  • Balance 272 mm
  • Carbon Hybrid HS face
  • Power Foam, carbon frame

Head Coello Pro 2026: the numbers behind Coello's racket

Head's 2026 sheet reads like a shopping list for power. A diamond head, 370 g, the balance 272 mm up from the butt, a full carbon frame and a Carbon Hybrid HS face, which is carbon woven with fibreglass at a higher carbon ratio than Head's cheaper faces. The core is Power Foam, reworked for this season into what Head calls a more reactive red foam.

Then the details. Auxetic 2.0 sits in the yoke and the bar inside the grip, there for feel. Extreme Spin is a rough 3D finish over the face. Power Stabilizer is Head's name for the construction behind the stability at the net, and the Soft Butt Cap + lets you swap the wrist cord without losing the soft cap.

Playing the Head Coello Pro: power first, forgiveness last

Padelful scores the 2026 Coello Pro at 9.9 for power and 9.9 for control, which is about as high as its scale goes, and files the touch as hard. That combination is the point of the racket. A firm carbon diamond with this much weight in the head sends a well-struck smash through the court and puts a bandeja exactly where you aimed it.

The weaker scores tell you who it punishes. Manoeuvrability is 7.9 and rebound 7.4, so the Pro is slower to bring back into position than the 360 g Head diamonds, and it gives you little free pace on soft shots: you have to supply the swing. The sweet spot, 8.1, is decent for a diamond and small next to a round racket.

Put plainly, it rewards a long, fast, clean swing and asks a lot of a tired arm in the third set.

Coello Pro 2026 or 2025?

They are close to the same racket. Padelful lists both at 370 g with a hard touch, Power Foam, a carbon face and a full carbon frame, and the scores move by a tenth here and there: power 9.9 against 10.0, sweet spot 8.1 against 8.0. Padelful's own summary is that the 2026 has a slightly more placement-oriented feel and the 2025 is a touch punchier.

So the Coello Pro 2025 is a sensible buy if the price is right and you don't mind last season's colours. If you want the reworked foam and the swappable cord, take the 2026.

Head Coello Pro vs Coello Motion, Extreme Pro and Vertex 05

Inside Head's range the obvious comparison is the Coello Motion, the same face, core and frame at 360 g with its balance 4 mm lower. It scores lower for power on Padelful and much higher for manoeuvrability, which for most club attackers is the better trade. The Extreme Pro matches the Pro's 370 g but sits 2 mm lower in balance on a Hybrid Woven face, and the lighter Extreme Motion 2026 is the Extreme family's answer to the Coello Motion.

If you want the same weight in a teardrop, Head's Speed Pro 2025 is 370 g at 270 mm on Power Foam. Across brands, the closest equivalent we stock is Bullpadel's Vertex 05 27, Juan Tello's diamond: a 365 to 375 g band and a measured balance of 263 mm on the 05 mould, so lower than the Coello Pro's published figure, with a 12K face over MultiEVA.

Should a club player buy the Coello Pro?

Only if you are genuinely advanced. That means you play several times a week, you hit a flat smash that wins points outright, and you are not still working on your volley. Head labels it advanced and nothing else, which is unusual and honest. If that isn't you yet, the advanced padel rackets page explains what to look for on the way up.

Not for you if

You want the pro's racket because it is the pro's racket. A hard, 370 g, head-heavy diamond magnifies a late swing and loads the forearm, and it will make most intermediates worse, not better. Buy the 360 g Coello Motion instead, or the fibreglass Coello Team if you want the diamond shape with a gentler feel.

Protect it, grip it, carry it

A diamond this heavy hits the glass hard when it does hit it. Head ships an Anti-Shock film on the frame; add a strip of Head Antishock Skin or another tape from the racket protector range to the top of the head and replace it as it wears. A fresh overgrip from a Head Prime Tour 30 roll keeps the handle tacky; the padel grips page explains thickness.

Balls: a Head Pro S+ bipack gives you two fresh tubes, and the padel balls guide covers pressure. The Head Coello Pro X backpack matches the racket and holds the kit, and the 60-litre Coello duffle with its own shoe compartment takes up to six rackets for tournament days; more on the padel bag page. Heavy rackets mean heavy pushes off the back foot, so a stable shoe such as the Gel-Resolution X from ASICS from the padel shoes range is worth the money.

Weighing up the shape? The diamond padel rackets page lines up the alternatives, carbon padel rackets covers faces, and every model is under padel rackets. Our guide to choosing a padel racket explains weight and balance from the start.

Head Coello Pro 2026 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Head Coello Pro the racket Arturo Coello actually uses?

Yes, the Coello Pro is the racket in Head's line that Coello plays, and Head designed it with him. The Coello Motion, Team and Vibe carry his name but are lighter or softer versions for club players.

Is the Head Coello Pro good for intermediate players?

Rarely. Head labels it advanced only. Its 370 g weight, 272 mm balance and hard feel reward a fast, clean swing and punish a late one. Most intermediates will play better with the 360 g Coello Motion or the fibreglass Coello Team.

What is the difference between the Head Coello Pro and the Coello Motion?

Weight and balance. Both use Carbon Hybrid HS, Power Foam and a full carbon frame, but the Pro is 370 g at 272 mm and the Motion 360 g at 268 mm. The Pro hits harder; the Motion handles faster.

How do I protect a Head Coello Pro?

Keep the Anti-Shock film on, add protection tape to the top of the head, store it in a cover away from heat, and wipe the rough face after damp sessions so grit does not wear the texture. Change the overgrip before it goes smooth.

How heavy is the Head Coello Pro 2026?

370 g on Head's sheet, with a tolerance of 10 g either way. One retailer lists 375 g, which sits inside that tolerance. The balance is 272 mm and the profile 38 mm.

Is the 2026 Coello Pro better than the 2025?

Not by much. Padelful rates them within a tenth of each other on every score and calls the 2026 slightly more placement-oriented, the 2025 a touch punchier. The 2026 has a reworked Power Foam and Head's exchangeable-cord butt cap.
