Head Coello Pro 2025 Padel Racket

£150.83

The Head Coello Pro 2025 is the outgoing edition of Arturo Coello's diamond: a hard, 375 g carbon racket for advanced attackers, and by Head's own sheets the heavier, punchier of the two Coello Pros on sale. It shares the 272 mm balance, the full carbon frame and the rough Extreme Spin face with the 2026.

If you want the racket and not the newest box, this is the one to look at first. If you're not sure you want a Coello Pro at all, read the last two sections before anything else.

Coello Pro 2025 vs 2026: the real differences

There are three, and none of them is the shape. Head's 2025 sheet, as Tennis Warehouse and Padel Nuestro publish it, lists the racket at 375 g; the 2026 sheet says 370 g, both with Head's usual 10 g tolerance. For 2026 Head also reworked the Power Foam into what it calls a more reactive red foam and added the Soft Butt Cap + with a swappable wrist cord.

Everything else carries over: diamond head, 272 mm balance, 38 mm profile, full carbon frame, a carbon and glass hybrid face, Extreme Spin and Auxetic 2.0. Padelful, which lists both at 370 g, rates them within a tenth of each other on every measure and sums up the difference neatly. The 2025 is a touch punchier; the Coello Pro 2026 a little more placement-oriented.

How the Head Coello Pro 2025 plays

Padelful gives the 2025 a perfect 10.0 for power and 9.9 for control, files the touch as hard and calls it a racket for experienced, aggressive players who want direct response and maximum finishing power. On paper that means firm, immediate contact, a rough face that helps with slice, and a well-timed overhead that leaves in a hurry.

What it asks for in return is speed and timing. Manoeuvrability scores 8.0 and rebound 7.5, so the racket is slower back into position than a 360 g diamond and gives little free pace on soft blocks. Late on the ball, or tired, and you feel all 375 g of it.

Coello Pro 2025 or Coello Motion 2025?

The lighter Coello Motion 2025 is the same idea at 360 g with a medium-hard touch rather than hard. Padelful scores it 8.8 for power against the Pro's 10.0, and 8.7 for manoeuvrability against 8.0, and recommends it to improving intermediates and control-minded players who still want punch.

For most club players that is the better racket. The Pro is the right one if your smash is the main reason you win points and you have the swing to carry the extra weight for three sets.

Choosing between the four Coello diamonds

Head has two seasons of Coello diamonds on sale at once, and they differ in small ways that matter to different players. The flow below is how we would narrow it down in the shop. If you want the diamond shape without carbon at all, the fibreglass Coello Team sits below all four, and the Extreme Pro 2025 is Head's other 370 g diamond from the same season.

Who should leave the Coello Pro 2025 on the shelf

Anyone who isn't already advanced. Padel Nuestro labels it advanced and competition, and that's not modesty. The advanced padel rackets page explains what that level looks like in practice.

Not for you if

You play once a week, your forearm complains after long sessions, or you mostly defend. At 375 g with a hard touch and the weight high in the head, it loads the arm more than almost any racket Head sells. The 2025 Coello Motion, or a teardrop from the teardrop padel rackets range, is a kinder way to get Head's feel, and defenders who still want an advanced frame should look at the round Head Gravity Pro.

Kitting out the Coello Pro 2025

Tape the head before its first session: a strip from the padel racket protector range saves the frame from the glass. Fit a fresh overgrip too; the Head Prime Tour 12-pack lasts a weekly player most of a season, and our padel grip page covers the alternatives.

Balls from the padel balls range, such as a dozen Head Pro+, keep practice sessions consistent. The Head Coello Pro X duffle bag is the matching bag, with more on the padel bag page, and a stable court shoe from padel shoes helps you push off for those smashes.

Still comparing? The diamond padel rackets page lines up every diamond, the padel racket sale page collects outgoing-season models like this one, and the full padel racket range covers the rest. For the theory behind weight and balance, see our guide to choosing a padel racket.

Head Coello Pro 2025 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Head Coello Pro 2025 the same racket as the Coello Pro 2026?

Almost. Shape, balance, frame, face and finish carry over. Head's sheets list the 2025 at 375 g and the 2026 at 370 g, and the 2026 adds a reworked Power Foam and a swappable wrist cord. Padelful rates them within a tenth of each other.

Who is the Head Coello Pro 2025 for?

Advanced and competition players who attack from the net and finish points with the smash. Padelful describes it as a racket for experienced, aggressive players who want maximum finishing power. Intermediates usually play better with the Coello Motion.

Coello Pro 2025 or Coello Motion 2025: which is better?

Neither is better outright. The Pro scores 10.0 for power and 8.0 for manoeuvrability on Padelful; the Motion 8.8 and 8.7, at 360 g with a medium-hard touch. Pick the Pro if your smash wins your points, the Motion if you need to defend as well.

Is a 2025 Coello Pro still a good buy in 2026?

Yes, if the racket suits you. It is close to identical to the 2026 on Padelful's scores, and outgoing-season rackets usually sell for less once the new colours arrive.

How heavy is the Head Coello Pro 2025?

375 g on Head's sheet as Tennis Warehouse and Padel Nuestro publish it, with a 10 g tolerance, so 365 to 385 g in practice. Some shops and Padelful list 370 g. The balance is 272 mm and the profile 38 mm.

How should I look after a Coello Pro 2025?

Tape the top of the head against glass strikes, keep it in a cover and out of hot cars, and brush grit off the rough face after outdoor sessions so the Extreme Spin texture lasts. Change the overgrip whenever it stops feeling tacky.
