Head Extreme Pro 2025 Padel Racket

£164.47

The Head Extreme Pro 2025 padel racket is last season's top attacking diamond from HEAD: 370 g, a 270 mm balance, Power Foam and a face of unidirectional carbon, built for expert players who finish points at the net with flat smashes and víboras.

The 2026 model kept the weight, balance and foam and changed the face. So this isn't an older, weaker version. It's the stiffer-faced one, and for some hitters that's the better racket.

The face is the story

HEAD put a unidirectional carbon layer, UD Carbon HS, on the 2025 Extreme Pro's hitting surface. In a UD layer the fibres all run the same way, and HEAD's own line is that it adds stiffness and power: a fast, firm rebound when you strike cleanly and very little cushion when you don't. For 2026 HEAD switched to a Hybrid Woven face of carbon and fibreglass, where strands cross over and under each other.

Everything else carries over. Both seasons weigh 370 g with HEAD's 10 g tolerance, both balance at 270 mm, both use Power Foam, and both have the rough Extreme Spin finish. The 2025 frame is marked Graphene Inside, and HEAD gave it a new drilling pattern, which you can see in the mix of hole sizes, aimed at a bigger sweet spot.

2025 or 2026: which Extreme Pro to buy

If you liked how the 2025 felt, there's no reason to change. Buy the 2026 Extreme Pro on Hybrid Woven if you'd like some fibreglass in the face, which usually softens the feel a little, at the same weight and balance, or simply this season's look. Our padel racket sale page compares last-season prices across HEAD's range, and this is one of the frames where the older year gives away nothing on paper.

The 12K carbon One X is HEAD's other all-carbon 370 g diamond at the same balance, with a single-hole face. And from the same 2025 collection, the 375 g Coello Pro 2025 puts a little more weight and 2 mm more balance behind Arturo Coello's smash.

Who it is not for

HEAD calls it a racket for expert players who dominate with aggressive shots, and we wouldn't hand it to anyone else. A stiff, head-heavy 370 g diamond magnifies late contact and loads the forearm, and it gives almost nothing free on a defensive block. Players still building their overhead should start from our advanced padel rackets guide or look at the lighter 360 g Extreme Motion 2025 from the same season. Every HEAD shape is laid out on diamond padel rackets.

Not for you if

You're not yet hitting a confident flat smash, you have elbow trouble, or you defend more than you attack. A lighter or softer-faced diamond will win you more points.

Grip, tape and the rest

Tape the top of the head with a strip from the racket protector range, since diamonds take their knocks up there, and keep a tacky overgrip on from padel grips so a heavy racket doesn't turn in your hand. A firm, fast ball from padel balls suits a stiff face. Stable court shoes from padel shoes and a thermal bag from padel bags finish the set. All our rackets are under padel rackets, and the guide to choosing a padel racket covers balance.

Head Extreme Pro 2025 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Head Extreme Pro 2025 the same as the 2026 model?

Nearly. Both are 370 g Power Foam diamonds with a 270 mm balance. The 2025 has a unidirectional carbon face and a Graphene Inside frame; the 2026 has a Hybrid Woven face of carbon and fibreglass.

Is the Head Extreme Pro 2025 suitable for an intermediate player?

Rarely. HEAD aims it at expert attackers. Most intermediates will play better with a 350 to 360 g diamond such as the Extreme Motion 2025.

Head Extreme Pro 2025 or Coello Pro 2025: which is more powerful?

Both are built for power. The Coello Pro 2025 carries more mass, 375 g at 272 mm on a carbon and glass face. The Extreme Pro 2025 is 370 g at 270 mm on stiffer unidirectional carbon.

How should I look after a UD carbon padel racket?

Fit a protector strip on the frame, keep it in a thermal bag out of hot cars, and do not scrape the rough face on the court to pick up balls, which wears the texture.

How thick is the Head Extreme Pro 2025?

HEAD lists a 38 mm profile, standard for an adult padel racket.
