Head Extreme Pro Padel Racket 2026

£206.94

The Head Extreme Pro padel racket is the heaviest racket in Head's Extreme family: a 370 g diamond on Power Foam with a 270 mm balance and a hard touch, for expert attackers who finish points overhead. Head built the 2026 edition on a Hybrid Woven carbon and fibreglass face, and Padel Addict reports that Iñigo Jofre has used it in tournaments.

Padelful's verdict is short and fair: if you are late, the racket does not hide it for you.

Head Extreme Pro review: the scores

Padelful gives the 2026 Extreme Pro a perfect 10 for power and 9.6 for control, with 8.1 for manoeuvrability and 8.0 for both rebound and sweet spot, an overall 8.7. That's the profile of a pure attacking diamond: a full, early swing sends the smash through the court and the firm face keeps it on line.

The lower numbers are the honest part. Defence needs an active swing, because a hard, head-heavy frame gives little free pace on blocks, and Padelful describes it as a racket for players who already live in the faster parts of the point.

Bar chart of Padelful scores for the Head Extreme Pro padel racket 2026: power 10, control 9.6, manoeuvrability 8.1, rebound 8.0, sweet spot 8.0

Extreme Pro vs Coello Pro, and the 2025 edition

Head's other 370 g diamond is the Coello Pro, Arturo Coello's racket: 272 mm on a Carbon Hybrid HS face, scored 9.9 for both power and control on Padelful. The 12K carbon Extreme One X matches the Extreme Pro's 370 g and 270 mm on an all-carbon face. The Extreme Pro trades a fraction of control for top marks in power. If you can't decide, the face finish and the look will matter as much as the numbers.

Against last season, the big change is the face. The Extreme Pro 2025 used unidirectional carbon; the 2026 uses Hybrid Woven. Weight, balance and core are unchanged. Lighter Extremes sit below it: the 360 g Extreme Motion and the 350 g Extreme One.

Who should not buy the Extreme Pro

Anyone who isn't yet hitting a confident flat smash. A hard 370 g diamond magnifies a late contact, loads the forearm and gives little back on mishits. The advanced padel rackets page explains the level, and the diamond padel rackets page lists softer diamonds.

Not for you if

You defend more than you attack, you play once a week, or your arm complains after firm rackets. Try the lighter Extreme Motion or a teardrop such as the Speed Pro first.

Setting up an Extreme Pro

Tape the top of the head, where a diamond takes its knocks, with a strip from the racket protector range, and fit a fresh overgrip from padel grips so a heavy racket doesn't twist in a sweaty hand. If it still turns, a honeycomb Hesacore grip under the overgrip gives your fingers something to lock onto.

A firmer ball such as the Head Pro S+ tube keeps pace up on cold courts; the padel balls page explains why. Add a bag from padel bags and a stable shoe from padel shoes, and see every model under padel rackets or our guide to choosing a padel racket.
