Head Coello Motion 2025 Padel Racket

£159.21

The Head Coello Motion 2025 is the outgoing edition of Head's lighter Arturo Coello diamond: 360 g of carbon on Power Foam with a rough 3D-textured face, for club and competition attackers who want the Coello punch without the weight of the Pro. Head built it as the more agile version of its Coello power frame.

Here's the useful bit for anyone shopping now. The 2026 model kept the weight, the core and the carbon build, and Padelful's scores moved by two tenths at most. Buying last season's Motion costs you very little on court.

What the Coello Motion 2025 is like to play

Padelful's 2025 scores are higher for control than you might expect from a diamond: 9.4 for control, 8.8 for power, 8.7 for manoeuvrability, 8.0 for sweet spot and 7.5 for rebound, with a medium-hard feel and an overall 8.5. Its reviewer singles out the racket's net play and how quickly it accelerates the ball, and says it moves well between defence and attack. A slightly longer handle helps on the smash, and Padelful notes how easily it sends the ball out of the court.

Two cautions come from the same review. Blocks need care, because a firm diamond with weight towards the head can push a defensive ball long. And the textured face can wear over time, which matters on a racket whose spin depends on it.

What Head changed for 2026, and what it did not

Very little. The Coello Motion 2026 is still 360 g, still a Carbon Hybrid HS diamond on Power Foam with a full carbon frame. Padelful's comparison puts the 2026 a fraction ahead for control (9.6 against 9.4) and rebound (7.7 against 7.5) and leaves every other score identical. Head added its Soft Butt Cap with an exchangeable wrist cord to the 2026, and the cosmetics changed.

Padelful's verdict between the two is about feel rather than numbers: the 2025 is the gentler option for sensitive arms, the 2026 the crisper finisher. If you like the 2026 on paper but your elbow complains after a long session, the older one is the better buy, not just the cheaper one. Our padel racket sale page explains how season changes move prices.

Head Coello Motion 2025 balance: a note on the numbers

Head publishes a 268 mm balance for the 2026 Motion but no millimetre figure for the 2025 that we could find. Shops describe it three ways: Tennis Nuts lists high balance, head heavy; Padel Market calls it mid-high; a Swedish shop says medium. Padelful says it leans slightly towards the head. Read all of that as one racket with its weight a little above the middle, which is normal for a diamond and kinder than the Pro.

The 2025 Motion against Head's other 360 g diamonds

We list four Head diamonds at 360 g, so weight won't decide this. The face does. The Coello Team swaps carbon for fibreglass, which is the easier, more forgiving way into Coello's shape. The Extreme Motion uses unidirectional carbon on the other Head attacking line; its 2025 season is the direct rival to this racket, a 360 g diamond from the same year. And above them all sits the Coello Pro 2025, which Head lists at 375 g with a hard touch.

Who should skip it

Beginners and defenders. A carbon diamond with a medium-hard feel rewards a fast, early swing and punishes a late one, and Head's sheet labels it advanced. If you're still finding your level, the best padel rackets for intermediate players page is a better starting point, and the diamond padel rackets page lists softer diamonds from other brands.

Not for you if

You mostly play from the back and win points by lobbing, you want a soft cushioned feel, or you need a large, central sweet spot. Padelful's 8.0 for sweet spot is fair for a diamond, but a round or teardrop frame from the advanced padel rackets page will forgive more.

Looking after the texture, and what to pair it with

Brush sand off the face after outdoor sessions and keep the racket in its cover so the Extreme Spin texture lasts. Tape the top of the head, where a diamond takes its knocks, with a strip from the racket protector range, and change the overgrip from padel grips before it turns slick.

A lively ball such as the Head Pro S+ tube suits an attacking diamond on cold UK courts; the padel balls page covers the rest. The Head Coello Tour bag matches the range, or see every option under padel bags. Add a stable court shoe from padel shoes, browse the full range of padel rackets, and read our guide on how to choose a padel racket if the shape question is still open.

Head Coello Motion 2025 Padel Racket: questions people ask

What did Head change between the Coello Motion 2025 and the 2026?

Mainly the cosmetics and the butt cap. Both are 360 g Carbon Hybrid HS diamonds on Power Foam; the 2026 adds a Soft Butt Cap with an exchangeable cord and publishes a 268 mm balance. Padelful scores the 2026 two tenths higher for control and rebound and calls the 2025 the gentler of the two.

Can an intermediate player use the Head Coello Motion 2025?

A strong intermediate who attacks from the net can, though Head labels it advanced. It is far easier to handle than the 375 g Coello Pro 2025. Players still building a consistent swing will get more from a teardrop or the fibreglass Coello Team.

Coello Motion 2025 or Coello Team: which diamond is easier to play?

The Coello Team. Both weigh 360 g and run Power Foam, but the Team has a fibreglass face, which is softer and more forgiving than the Motion's carbon. The Motion gives sharper control and more pace once your timing is good.

Will the textured face on the Coello Motion 2025 wear off?

It can, slowly. Padelful flags that the textured surface may wear over time. Brushing off sand after outdoor play, keeping it in a cover and not scraping it on the court all slow that down.

What is the balance of the Head Coello Motion 2025?

Head has not published a millimetre figure for the 2025 that we could find. Shops call it high, mid-high or medium, and Padelful says it leans slightly towards the head. The 2026 Motion is listed at 268 mm, which is a fair guide.
