Head Coello Vibe 2026 Padel Racket

£88.50

The Head Coello Vibe is the entry racket in Head's Arturo Coello range: a 355 g fibreglass teardrop on Power Foam with an oversize 525 cm² face, for beginners and relaxed club players who want comfort and a big hitting area rather than a smash. Head pitches it at players starting out.

It wears the world number one's crown logo, but it plays nothing like his racket. That's a good thing if you're new to the game.

  • Smooth fibreglass face

Who the Coello Vibe is built for

Head's copy is unusually direct about it: a beginner-oriented racket with a large sweet spot and a soft fibreglass face. The teardrop head is oversize, the Power Foam core gives the ball some pace off a gentle swing, and Head adds Innegra fibres in the frame to cut vibration and keep the head stable on off-centre hits. Its Integrated Protector System is there because new players hit the glass and the floor more than anyone.

That makes it a sensible first proper racket for someone who has played a handful of times on a club's hire racket and wants their own, or for a returning tennis player who doesn't yet want a carbon frame. Our best padel racket for beginners page sets it against other first rackets.

Padelful's verdict: comfort before power

Padelful scores the 2026 Coello Vibe at 7.6 for rebound, 7.2 for manoeuvrability, 7.1 for both power and sweet spot and 6.9 for control, with a medium-soft feel and an overall 7.2. Its reviewer calls it a solid choice for players who want comfort, and sums it up neatly: it helps you survive and reset the point more than it helps you dominate it.

The pros are what a beginner needs: easy ball output, a generous sweet spot and stable volleys. The cons are about the top end. It lacks finishing punch and is weak on aggressive smashes, so a player who improves quickly will outgrow it.

355 g, 360 g or 370 g? Sorting out the specs

You'll see three weights quoted for this racket. Head's 2026 sheet, as Tennis Nuts lists it, says 355 g with Head's usual 10 g tolerance; Padelful lists 360 g; one UK shop prints 370 g. We go with Head's 355 g. Any racket can arrive a few grams either side.

Balance is similar. Head calls it medium, or even, and publishes no millimetre figure for 2026; the 2025 edition was listed at 272 mm, which sits towards the head. The figure that does stand out is the head size. At 525 cm², the face is larger than any of the Head rackets in the chart below, round frames included.

Head Coello Vibe 2026 face area of 525 cm² drawn to scale against the Gravity Motion 2024 at 498 cm², Coello Motion 2025 at 475 cm² and Radical Pro 2026 at 461 cm²

Head sizes from Head's sheets as listed by Tennis Nuts and Tennis Warehouse Europe. Blocks are drawn to area, not to the rackets' real outlines.

Head Coello Vibe 2025 or 2026?

We list the 2026 only. Head's published figures for the two seasons match: 355 g, a 525 cm² teardrop head, a 38 mm profile, fibreglass and Power Foam, aimed at beginner to intermediate players. The 2026 comes in black and red. If you have a 2025 already, there's no reason to swap.

Coello Vibe, plain Vibe or Coello Team?

Two of these share a name, which doesn't help. The plain Head Vibe is a separate 350 g model that's quicker in the hand and scores lower for power, sold in 2026 colours and as the earlier Head Vibe 2025. The Coello Team keeps the fibreglass but switches to a 360 g diamond, the next step for a player who has started to attack. And the soft-foam Evo Speed is the most comfortable of all. All the Coello models run up to the carbon Coello Motion, which belongs in a different conversation.

When the Coello Vibe is the wrong racket

If you already hit a confident overhead, or you play three times a week and want to win league matches, you'll feel its limits within weeks. A mid-weight carbon teardrop from the teardrop padel rackets range will give you the precision this one can't.

Not for you if

You want a racket that finishes points, you are buying because it carries Coello's name and expect it to play like his, or you want a carbon face. Padelful is clear that strong players outgrow it.

First kit to go with it

Fit an overgrip from the padel grips range on day one; new players squeeze hard, and a fresh grip saves your forearm. A strip from the racket protector range costs little and covers the knocks a fibreglass frame will take. For balls, the Head One tube is Head's all-round ball, and the padel balls page explains the rest.

Add a court shoe from padel shoes, since trainers slip on sand-filled turf, and a bag from padel bags once you're carrying balls and water. Every racket we stock is under padel rackets, the cheap padel rackets page lines up other budget frames, and our guide on how to choose a padel racket covers shape and weight from scratch.

Head Coello Vibe 2026 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Does Arturo Coello play the Head Coello Vibe?

No. The Coello Vibe is the entry racket in Head's Arturo Coello collection and carries his crown logo, but Coello plays the 370 g carbon Coello Pro. The Vibe is a 355 g fibreglass teardrop built for beginners.

Is the Head Coello Vibe good for beginners?

Yes, that is who Head made it for. The oversize 525 cm² face, soft fibreglass and Power Foam make it easy to get the ball over the net with depth. Padelful praises its easy ball output and generous sweet spot.

Coello Vibe or Coello Team: which should I buy?

Pick the Coello Vibe if you are new and want comfort and a big face. Pick the Coello Team, a 360 g fibreglass diamond, once you are attacking from the net and want more power on overheads.

How do I look after a fibreglass racket like the Coello Vibe?

Keep it out of hot cars and direct sun, tape the top of the frame with a protector, and wipe it dry after damp sessions. Change the overgrip when it goes smooth.

How heavy is the Head Coello Vibe?

Head's 2026 sheet lists 355 g with a 10 g tolerance. Padelful lists 360 g and one shop prints 370 g, but Head's own figure is 355 g.

What is the difference between the Head Coello Vibe 2025 and 2026?

On Head's published numbers, very little: both are 355 g fibreglass teardrops on Power Foam with a 525 cm² head and a 38 mm profile. The 2026 is black and red. We stock the 2026.
