Head Vibe Padel Racket 2026

£59.99

The Head Vibe padel racket is a soft, quick-handling teardrop for players past their first few sessions who want rallies to feel easy rather than fast. The 2026 edition is Head's 2025 mould in new blue/yellow and green/orange colours: 350 g, a fibreglass face and a Power Foam core inside an oversized head.

What it does best is get the ball back over the net with a short swing. What it doesn't do is win points on its own, and there's no shame in that at this level.

Head Vibe review: what it is like on court

Soft is the word that comes up first, and it is accurate. Contact feels muffled rather than sharp, the ball leaves the face without much effort, and short blocked volleys still travel deep. Padelful's reviewers scored the 2026 Vibe at 8.5 for rebound and 8.5 for manoeuvrability, its two best numbers, and singled out how easily it gets the ball out with a compact swing.

That same softness is the weakness. Against a heavy ball from a stronger pair the frame gives a little, and Padelful marks it down for losing stability when the pace arrives. Smashes stay in the court more often than you'd like (power scored 6.5). A smooth fibreglass face also does little for spin, so slice and kick serves are mostly down to your technique.

Our view: for a relaxed doubles player who wants long rallies and a racket that's easy to live with, those are fair trades. For anyone already hunting winners, they aren't.

Quick and lively off the face; the smash is where it runs short. Padelful scores out of 10 for the Head Vibe 2026 (axis starts at 5).

Head Vibe 2026 vs 2025: is anything different?

Not that anyone can measure. Both editions list 350 g with Head's 10 g tolerance, an oversized teardrop, a Power Foam core, a fibreglass face and a 38 mm profile. Retailers' product codes for the 2026 colourways still carry the 2025 Vibe's VB25 stem, and Head hasn't published a change list. The 2025 run came in grey/black, blue/red and black/purple; the 2026 adds blue/yellow and green/orange.

Head's copy for the 2025 Vibe described a tubeless frame that runs the rubber out to the edges for a bigger sweet spot, plus its Innegra fibre, Power Frame and an integrated frame protector. Nothing in the 2026 numbers suggests any of that went away. If you prefer an earlier colourway, the Head Vibe 2025 is the same racket to play with.

Power Foam, fibreglass and a 265 mm balance

Head names its foams by intent, which helps once you know the list. Soft Foam sits in the Evo Speed and its twin the Evo Extreme, Power Foam in the Vibe and Coello Vibe, Comfort Foam in the round Master and Control Foam in the Radical Team and the carbon Radical Motion. Power Foam is the livelier of the two entry foams, so the Vibe returns a touch more pace off a soft swing than the Evo Speed does.

Balance is the other number worth decoding. Tennis Nuts files the Vibe as even or low, but Head's sheet says 265 mm from the butt, 5 mm lower than the Evo Speed and well short of the 270 mm-plus attacking frames. In the hand it reads as neutral, slightly handle-friendly, and that's why it whips round so quickly at the net.

Vibe, Coello Vibe or Evo Speed?

These three get mixed up constantly, partly because two of them share a name. The Coello Vibe is not a colourway of this racket. It carries Arturo Coello's branding, weighs about 5 g more on Head's sheet and scores a little higher for power on Padelful, at the cost of some of the Vibe's quickness. The same Coello name runs right up to the carbon Coello Motion diamond, a very different racket.

The Evo Speed is the closest relative in feel: the same weight and face, a softer foam and its balance 5 mm higher. Pick the Vibe if you want the ball to come off the face more easily; pick the Evo Speed if comfort matters more than anything.

Who should skip the Head Vibe

Three groups. Players who already hit hard and flat will find the soft face soaks up their pace. Anyone who relies on spin will miss a textured surface, which Head adds as Spin Surface on rackets such as the Gravity Motion; the smooth-faced Speed Team one step up adds weight rather than texture. And complete newcomers, oddly, can do better with a round head, whose centred sweet spot is kinder still.

Not for you if

You want a racket to grow into over three or four seasons. The Vibe is a first or second racket, and keen players outgrow it. For a round, forgiving start look at the Nox X-One or the wider control padel rackets range; for more bite later, the intermediate padel rackets page is the next stop.

Your first kit with a Head Vibe

Start with the handle. The factory grip on an entry racket is thin and goes slippery quickly, so a Head Prime Tour overgrip is worth fitting on day one; a twelve-pack lasts most weekly players a season. Our padel grip page covers dry and tacky types.

Then the frame. Head's copy credits the Vibe with an integrated rim protector, but a clear tape from the padel racket protector range takes the scrapes off the glass instead. A soft racket cover keeps it out of the sun in the car, which matters more than people think for a foam core.

For balls, a tube of Head One suits casual doubles and our padel ball guide explains when to move up to a tour ball. The Head Tour 25L backpack carries one racket, shoes and a bottle; there's more choice on the padel bag page. And proper padel shoes do more for your movement on turf than any racket; players who plant hard tend to like the ASICS Gel-Resolution X men's padel shoe.

Comparing options? The teardrop padel rackets page lines up the shape, cheap padel rackets covers the budget band, beginner padel rackets explains the first-racket recipe, and the padel racket range has everything else. The guide to choosing a padel racket walks through weight and balance.

Head Vibe Padel Racket 2026: questions people ask

Is the Head Vibe the same racket as the Head Coello Vibe?

No. The Coello Vibe is a separate model with Arturo Coello's branding, about 5 g more weight and a little more power. The plain Vibe is the lighter, quicker one. Both use Power Foam under a fibreglass face.

What level is the Head Vibe padel racket for?

Advanced beginners and relaxed club players, by Head's label and by Padelful's verdict. It's a good second racket for someone who has finished their first few months, and a fine first one for a confident starter.

Is the Head Vibe better than the Evo Speed?

Neither is better overall; they lean different ways. The Vibe uses livelier Power Foam and a lower 265 mm balance, so it handles faster and gives more ball exit. The Evo Speed uses Soft Foam and feels more cushioned.

How long will a Head Vibe last?

For a weekly player, typically a season or two before the foam loses its liveliness. Keep it in a cover, out of hot cars and away from radiators, and tape the rim to stop chips from the glass shortening its life.

How heavy is the Head Vibe padel racket?

Head lists 350 g with a 10 g tolerance, so a given racket can weigh 340 to 360 g. Padelful's spec page quotes 360 to 370 g, which is worth knowing if you are very sensitive to weight. The balance sits at 265 mm.

Does the Head Vibe have a textured face for spin?

No. The face is smooth fibreglass, and Padelful notes it generates little spin. If spin matters, look for a textured face such as Head's Spin Surface on the Gravity Motion, or the rough Extreme Spin finish on the Coello and Extreme ranges.

Still comparing? The full range of padel rackets sits on one page, sorted by level, shape and weight.
