Head Cyber Padel Racket 2025

£59.99

The Head Cyber padel racket is HEAD's entry-price diamond: a 360 g fibreglass racket with a smooth face and a soft foam core, for improving players who want to try a diamond's extra reach on the smash without paying for carbon.

Every other HEAD starter racket we list is a teardrop. That makes the Cyber the odd one out, and it is worth knowing why before you buy it.

What a diamond shape changes

A diamond head is widest high up, so the sweet spot sits further from your hand than on a teardrop or round racket. On a smash or a high volley that extra reach helps; on a rushed block low down, there is less margin. That is why most first rackets are round or teardrop, and why the Cyber suits a player who has already played enough to hit the ball cleanly.

HEAD's build takes some of the edge off. The face is fibreglass rather than carbon, which is softer and more forgiving, and the foam core is described by Padel Reference as Comfort Foam, chosen for vibration absorption. Two UK and Dutch listings put the balance at medium or even rather than the head-heavy setting most diamonds use, though one field on the Dutch page calls it head-heavy. We read it as a gentle diamond.

Head Cyber specs, and what is not published

Retail listings agree on the shape (diamond), the face (fibreglass, smooth), the weight (360 g) and a 38 mm profile. Padel Reference also names Graphene 360 in the frame and spiral fibres for a softer feel. We could not find a HEAD spec sheet for the Cyber, and found no independent review of it, so we have kept to what the listings agree on.

Head Cyber or a teardrop starter?

If you're new, a teardrop is the safer first racket. The Head Vibe is 350 g with Power Foam, and the Evo Speed is 350 g with HEAD's softer Soft Foam; both put the sweet spot nearer the middle. If you already know you want a diamond, the next fibreglass steps up are the Coello Team and the Extreme Team, both on livelier Power Foam. HEAD's 2023 Extreme Elite is another soft fibreglass diamond, with a bigger 494 cm² head.

Who should skip the Cyber

Complete beginners, mostly. A diamond rewards clean contact and punishes the mishits every new player makes. The best padel racket for beginners page covers the forgiving shapes, and the diamond padel rackets page explains the shape in full.

Not for you if

You are in your first few months of padel, you defend more than you attack, or you want a carbon face. A teardrop or round racket will forgive more, and a carbon diamond will hit harder.

Grip, protection and a first set of balls

Fit an overgrip, such as HEAD's thin, tacky Padel Pro three-pack, from padel gripsand tape the top of the head with a strip from the racket protector range: a diamond's widest point is the bit that meets the glass. The Head One tube is HEAD's all-round ball for club play, and the padel balls page explains the faster tournament balls.

Add a court shoe from padel shoes and a bag from padel bags. Other budget frames are on cheap padel rackets, the full range is under padel rackets, and our guide on how to choose a padel racket explains shape and balance from scratch.

Head Cyber Padel Racket 2025: questions people ask

Is the Head Cyber related to Stiga Cybershape rackets?

No. Cybershape is Stiga's name for its own racket outline. The Head Cyber is a separate 360 g fibreglass diamond from HEAD's entry range.

Is the Head Cyber good for beginners?

It is better for improvers than for complete beginners. A diamond puts the sweet spot higher on the face, which helps the smash but forgives less. Most new players get on better with a teardrop such as the Head Vibe.

Head Cyber or Head Coello Team: which diamond should I buy?

Both are fibreglass diamonds at about 360 g. The Cyber is the entry option with a soft foam core and a medium balance. The Coello Team uses livelier Power Foam and a 270 mm balance, for club players who attack from the net.

How do I protect a Head Cyber?

Tape the top of the head, where a diamond is widest and most likely to hit the glass, keep it in a cover out of heat and direct sun, and change the overgrip when it goes smooth.

How heavy is the Head Cyber 2025?

Retail listings give 360 g with a 38 mm profile. We could not find a HEAD spec sheet with a tolerance, but HEAD usually allows about 10 g either way.
