Head Concord Padel Racket 2025

£58.63

The Head Concord padel racket is a budget power racket from HEAD's 2025 range: an oversize teardrop with a fibreglass face, a Power Foam core and a high balance, for improving club players who swing hard and want the racket to do some of the work. This season's version is black with a yellow-gold HEAD logo.

It's also one of the harder HEAD rackets to pin down. We couldn't find HEAD's own sheet, and the shops that list it don't agree on the weight or even the shape. We've set out what they say below rather than pick a number and pretend.

What the Concord weighs, depending on who you ask

Padelvo lists 360 g, Padel Reference 365 g, Smashinn 375 g and one UK review 380 g. Padel Nuestro and the Decathlon marketplace, both selling the 2025 model, don't give a weight at all. The 375 g listing also describes a Diamond OS with a 420 cm² head and 260 mm balance, and we think it's an older Concord still on the page, not this one.

Most 2025 listings sit at 360 to 365 g, which is normal for an adult racket. The face, core and balance are where the sources do agree: fibreglass on Power Foam, with the weight towards the head. The racket face itself carries HEAD's tech labels, Power Frame, Integrated Protector, Tailored Frame, Power Foam and Innegra, which match the 2025 listings.

How a head-heavy fibreglass racket plays

Put the weight up in the head and the racket keeps moving after contact. That's free pace on a smash or a flat drive, and it's why the Concord gets filed under power by every shop that sells it. The cost is at the net. A head-heavy frame is slower to bring up for a quick volley and tires the forearm sooner over three sets.

Fibreglass softens that. It flexes more than carbon, so the ball sits on the face a little longer and mishits sting less. Power Foam is HEAD's livelier foam, so the Concord has more bounce off the face than the Soft Foam Head Xenon. The oversize head gives a big hitting area for a racket at this price.

Who should buy it, and who should not

Padel Nuestro's own page can't decide either: its filters say beginner to intermediate, its description says advanced. On the build, we'd put it with improvers in their first or second year who already hit through the ball, especially ex-tennis players. A true first-timer is better served by a medium balance, such as the 350 g Head Vibe 2025. An advanced player will want carbon and a published spec sheet.

If you're comparing it with the other HEAD rackets on our cheap padel rackets list, the Head Cyber is the entry diamond for trying the shape, and the Speed Team 2025 is the next step up in fibreglass, with a full HEAD sheet behind it.

Not for you if

You want to know the exact weight before you buy, you have a sore elbow or shoulder, or you're in your first few sessions. A medium-balanced racket with a published sheet will suit you better.

Grip, balls and shoes to go with it

A tacky overgrip such as the HEAD Padel Pro three-pack helps hold a head-heavy racket steady; padel grips covers thickness. HEAD's bumper protects the top of the frame, and a strip from the racket protector range adds another layer. Try the Head Padel One tube for club games, or browse padel balls. Court soles from padel shoes grip sand-filled turf in a way trainers don't. The wider range is on padel rackets, and the guide to choosing a padel racket explains balance.

Head Concord Padel Racket 2025: questions people ask

Is the Head Concord 2025 the same as the older Concord?

Not quite. Older listings describe a Diamond OS at 375 g with a 420 cm² head. The 2025 Concord is black and gold and is listed as an oversize teardrop with Power Foam and a high balance.

Is the Head Concord a good padel racket for beginners?

For a beginner who already swings hard, it can be. For most first-timers, a medium balance such as the Head Vibe 2025 is easier to handle at the net and kinder on the arm.

Head Concord or Head Xenon: which should I buy?

The Concord is head-heavy with Power Foam, so it hits harder. The Xenon is even-balanced with Soft Foam, so it feels steadier and more comfortable. Pick the Concord for pace, the Xenon for control and comfort.

How heavy is the Head Concord 2025?

We have not found a HEAD figure. Listings range from 360 to 380 g, with most 2025 listings at 360 to 365 g.

How do I protect the Head Concord frame?

HEAD moulds a carbon bumper into the top of the frame. Add a protector strip if you play near the glass, keep the racket in a cover, and keep it out of a hot car, which softens foam.
