Raquex Eclipse Padel Racket

£74.94

The Raquex Eclipse padel racket is a round, control-minded racket listed at about 360 g (plus or minus 10 g) with a mid balance, for players who want comfort, placement and spin more than raw power. A retailer describes it as easy to manoeuvre at the net and not the most explosive racket for advanced smashers.

That is nearly all we can say with a source. We found no independent review of the Eclipse, no published millimetre balance from Raquex and no retailer who states the shape. This page sets out what we found, what we did not, and which Raquex racket may suit you better if you need a review behind a purchase.

What we found about the Raquex Eclipse, and what we did not

A retailer lists the Eclipse at 360 g, give or take 10 g, calls it a 2026 model for players who want control, comfort and spin, and says it is easy to manoeuvre at the net. A Portuguese-language page of the same listing gives a mid balance point of 265 mm. That is a single source, so we treat the millimetre figure as unconfirmed.

Our own catalogue lists the racket as round with a medium balance and about 360 g. No retailer we found states the shape, so we mark that as ours. Nothing we found states a core, a face material or a thickness, so we do not name any. If those matter to your decision, ask us before you order.

How it should play, going by the description

A round racket of this weight with a mid balance should sit in the middle of the pack: a large sweet spot, a stable feel and easy transitions between defence and the net. The retailer's own words, control and comfort with some spin, point the same way, and so does the admission that it is not explosive.

That makes it a racket for steady players who build the point and finish it with placement. It is not a racket to expect free power from. Because there is no review to quantify it, treat this as a description of intent and not a verdict.

Eclipse, Excel, Elite or Evion?

Raquex makes a handful of rackets, and the Eclipse is the round one. The Raquex Excel is a teardrop of about 365 g, the Raquex Elite and Elite Evo are diamonds of about 365 g, and the Evion range (Match, Precision and Strike) are hybrids. A review of the Elite Evo gives it a 38 mm profile and a 265 mm balance, which is a useful reference if you are comparing.

If you want the most control, the Eclipse is the natural choice in the range. If you want more pace, step up to the Excel or one of the diamonds.

Who should skip the Eclipse

Anyone who needs a review behind a purchase, who wants a power racket, or who needs the exact specification. For a round racket with independent ratings, look at the adidas Metalbone Ctrl or the Black Crown Piton on our site, and read our control padel rackets page.

Not for you if

You want a measured balance and a tested sweet spot, you want power, or you need to know the core and face material. We could not find any of those for the Eclipse.

What to buy with it

Fit a racket protector first. Raquex also sells accessories we list: the Evade Pro overgrip 3 pack, pink Elite padel balls and the Engage 2R racket bag. The padel grips, padel balls and padel bag pages have the rest, and padel shoes matter on sand-filled turf.

Compare with the other starters on our cheap padel racket page, see the intermediate padel racket page for the next step, and read our guide to choosing a padel racket. The full padel racket range covers the rest.

Raquex Eclipse Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Raquex Eclipse a good padel racket?

We cannot say from a test: we found no independent review. A retailer describes it as a control and comfort racket that is easy to manoeuvre at the net, and not the most explosive.

What shape is the Raquex Eclipse?

Our listing says round. No retailer we found states the shape, so check the head in the photo.

How heavy is the Raquex Eclipse?

Listed at about 360 g, plus or minus 10 g. One retailer page gives a mid balance of 265 mm.

What is the difference between the Raquex Eclipse and the Excel?

The Eclipse is the round racket at about 360 g; the Excel is a teardrop at about 365 g, a little more all-round.

Is the Raquex Eclipse good for beginners?

A round, mid-balance racket is a sensible shape for a newer player, but we have no review or core information, so we would not call it a beginner racket.

How do I look after a padel racket?

Use a protector, keep it out of hot cars and wipe the face after damp sessions. Heat and glass impacts do most of the damage.
