Wilson Defy LS V1 Padel Racket (2025)

£99.95

The Wilson Defy LS V1 is the light version of the Defy diamond: 355 g with a Comfort Flex face, a Power Foam core and a carbon frame, built for newer aggressive players and experienced players who want lightweight power with less arm fatigue. LS marks the lighter build, and V1 is Wilson's version number.

Padelful scores it 8.5 overall with control 8.9, power 8, sweet spot 8.5 and manoeuvrability 8.5. Sellers disagree on the balance, high on one and 265 mm on another, and on whether it is advanced or intermediate to advanced.

What the Defy LS V1 is

Tennis Warehouse calls it lightweight, powerful and easy to use, and lists a carbon frame, a Comfort Flex face designed to deliver power with less arm fatigue, a Power Foam core, an I-Beam that stiffens the middle of the frame and Aeroexact geometry meant to raise swing speed and help off-centre shots. Add Spin² texture and a Duo Grid hole pattern, and Padelful's pros are strong power, high control, a large sweet spot and vibration absorption.

The heavier siblings are the Defy V1 and the Defy Pro V1, which also comes as a white and gold Special Edition. Our catalogue also lists a separate Defy V1 LS Special Edition 2026, so check the listing says 2025 if that is the one you want.

Grouped bar chart of Padelful power and control ratings for the Wilson Defy LS V1, Defy V1 and Defy Pro V1

High balance or 265 mm? Advanced or intermediate?

Padelful describes a high balance, which it ties to extra momentum on aggressive strokes, and rates the racket for advanced players. Tennis Warehouse gives 265 mm and calls it medium-low, with a level of intermediate to advanced, aimed at aggressive newer players and experienced players who like a softer hitting surface. Weight, the Power Foam core and the Comfort Flex face agree.

Our read is a light diamond whose balance sits near the middle by the number, with a head shape that still gives power. Treat the advanced label as a ceiling, not a requirement.
