Bullpadel Indiga W 2023 Padel Racket (Woman)

£41.87

The Bullpadel Indiga W 2023 is a light, round women's padel racket for beginners and improvers who want comfort and control more than power. It has a soft EVA core behind a fibreglass face, weighs about 350 g, and keeps its weight low in the hand so the middle of the face is easy to find.

It's three seasons old, but don't let that put you off. On Padelful's scores it plays almost exactly like the current Indiga Woman 2026, with a fractionally bigger sweet spot, and it costs less.

  • Round, low balance
  • About 350 g
  • Fibreglass (Polyglass) face
  • Soft EVA core
  • Medium-soft feel
  • Sky blue with a gold bridge

The 2023 Indiga W against the 2026

Bullpadel has kept the Indiga W's recipe steady for years: a round head, a fibreglass face, a soft EVA core and a weight in the low 350s. Padelful lists the same shape, weight, core, face, frame and feel for the 2023 and the 2026, and the scores barely move. Power is 5.0 against 4.8, control 7.3 against 7.5, rebound 8.6 against 8.5.

The one difference worth mentioning is the sweet spot: 7.1 on this one, 6.8 on the Indiga Woman 2026. That's a small gap, but for a new player it's the right way round. The 2026 has the newer colours and the 2023 is the slightly friendlier racket, so if paint doesn't matter to you, this is the one we'd pick.

What it is like to play with

Easy, mostly. A round head and a low balance mean the racket comes round quickly for a volley and the ball tends to find the middle of the face even when your footwork doesn't. The soft core gives plenty of free bounce, so a short swing still gets the ball over the net with some depth, and mishits don't jar the wrist or elbow the way a stiff carbon racket can.

Don't expect it to win points with the smash. A power score of 5 is low by any standard, and once you start hitting hard overheads you'll feel the ball sit on the face rather than leave it. That's the moment to think about a step up. Until then, it's a racket that lets you concentrate on the game rather than the equipment.

Indiga W 2023 specs, and where sources disagree

We couldn't find Bullpadel's own sheet for the 2023 edition, so the figures here come from Padel Nuestro's UK listing and Padelful's test page. They agree on most things: round shape, soft EVA core, a fibreglass face (Padelful calls it Polyglass, Bullpadel's name for its fibreglass blend) and a flat, glossy finish in sky blue with a black handle and a gold bridge.

Two lines differ. Padel Nuestro gives the weight as 350 g; Padelful says 350 to 360 g. Padel Nuestro's description mentions a carbon frame; Padelful lists the frame as Polyglass. We've shown both rather than pick one, and we'll weigh and check ours when stock arrives.

Indiga W 2023 or another light Bullpadel?

Three other Bullpadels sit close to this one. The Flow Light 2025 is quicker in the hand (Padelful gives it 9.0 for manoeuvrability) and has a bigger sweet spot, so it's the one to buy if you'd rather spend a bit more on a racket you'll keep for longer. The Indiga Control 26 is 10 g heavier and adds a little punch. The Indiga Woman 2026 is this racket in new colours.

Who the Indiga W 2023 suits

Women in their first season or two, players coming back after a break, and anyone whose arm complains on a stiff racket. It also works as a spare for a stronger player who wants something gentle for social games. The womens padel racket page sets it beside other women's editions, the best padel racket for beginners page has the full starter shortlist, and you'll find it among the bargains on our cheap padel racket page too.

For girls rather than adults, the Indiga Girl 26 is the junior version, shorter and lighter, and the right choice for most players under about 12.

Not for you if

You already attack at the net and want your smash to finish points, or you want a racket you won't outgrow in a couple of seasons. A power score of 5 won't keep up. Look at the control padel racket page for rounder rackets with more bite, or the intermediate picks on the Bullpadel rackets page.

Setting up a first padel kit around it

A thin overgrip makes a light racket easier to hold without squeezing; a Bullpadel replacement overgrip 2-pack will see you through a couple of months, and the padel grip page explains when to change it. New players catch the floor more than anyone, so fit a Bullpadel Pro frame protector early.

Standard balls are fine while you learn; a tube of Bullpadel Next is a good start, and the padel balls page covers the rest. Proper court shoes matter more than the racket: the Indiga 25I women's shoes match this line, and the padel shoes page explains why trainers slip on sand. Keep it in a Bullpadel racket cover or browse the padel bag range, and if you want to understand what makes a racket suit a beginner, our guide to choosing a padel racket is short and plain. The whole range is on the padel racket page.

Bullpadel Indiga W 2023 Padel Racket (Woman): questions people ask

Is the Bullpadel Indiga W 2023 the same as the Indiga Woman?

Yes. Bullpadel and shops use W and Woman for the same women's edition of the Indiga. The 2023 is an earlier season of the racket now sold as the Indiga Woman 2026, with the same shape, weight, core and face.

Is the Indiga W 2023 a good first padel racket for a woman?

Yes. It is light, round and low-balanced with a soft core, which makes it forgiving and easy on the arm. Padelful scores its sweet spot 7.1, a touch better than the 2026 version.

Indiga W 2023 or Flow Light 2025: which should I buy?

Both are round and weigh 350 to 360 g. The Flow Light is quicker in the hand and has a bigger sweet spot on Padelful, so it lasts longer as you improve. The Indiga W 2023 is the simpler, lower-cost start.

How much does the Bullpadel Indiga W 2023 weigh?

Padel Nuestro lists 350 g and Padelful 350 to 360 g. Either way it sits at the light end for an adult racket. We will weigh ours when stock arrives.

Will a 2023 racket have lost its bounce sitting in a box?

An unused racket stored away from heat keeps its core well, so a new 2023 Indiga W plays as designed. Foam softens with playing time, not shelf time; keep it out of hot cars once it is yours.

When should I move on from the Indiga W 2023?

When your smash starts to feel like it sits on the face rather than leaving it, usually after a season or two of regular play. A teardrop or a firmer round racket is the natural next step.
