Dunlop Galactica OS Padel Racket (2025)

£147

The Dunlop Galactica OS padel racket is the round, control-first racket of the 2025 Galactica range: a 3K carbon face with Tri-Max reinforcement over an EVA Pro core, for intermediate to advanced players who want a large sweet spot and precise placement. OS stands for oversize, which is Dunlop's name for the round head.

Padelful scores it 9.5 for control, 8.6 for sweet spot and manoeuvrability and 7.7 for power, with a medium-hard feel that wants clean contact. Sellers disagree on the weight and the balance.

How the Galactica OS plays

Padelful calls it a control-focused round racket with a large sweet spot for precise placement and stable play in fast rallies. It lists stability on off-centre volley blocks, quick reactions in net exchanges and bite on bandejas and víboras.

The cons are the flip side of control. Low pickups come off restrained, flat smashes lack natural power and the firm feel needs clean contact to respond. It rewards a player who builds points, not one who blasts them.

Weight and balance: what the sources say

Padelful lists two weights, 360 and 375 g, and a low-to-medium balance, while retailers give about 365 g and a medium balance. All agree on the round shape, the 3K carbon with Tri-Max, the EVA Pro core and an intermediate to advanced level.

The spread in weight is wide, so a particular racket could feel noticeably different from the one you tried. If weight matters to you, ask the seller what the batch measures.

Galactica OS or another Galactica

The Galactica Pro is a hybrid with more handling and the Galactica Team is a gentler even-balance hybrid. The OS also comes as the limited-edition Galactica OS Nisse for 2026. For a softer round racket, the Galactica OS Lite scores 10 for sweet spot, and for a lighter entry the Galactica Lite is the hybrid, and our control padel rackets page lists round rackets from other brands.
