Bullpadel Neuron 02 Comfort Padel Racket (27)

£215.50

The Bullpadel Neuron 02 Comfort padel racket is the soft-faced version of the Neuron 02 Edge for 2027, made for intermediate to advanced players who like to attack at the net but want the racket to do some of the work when they're defending. It swaps the Edge's carbon face for Fibrix, a fibreglass and carbon blend, on the same wide geometric head.

UK shops sell it as the Neuron 02 Comfort or CMF 27; Padelful and most Spanish shops call it the Neuron 02 Edge Comfort. Same racket. What you get is a much bigger sweet spot than the Edge, in exchange for some of its precision.

  • Geometric, diamond-style head
  • 360 to 370 g
  • Fibrix face (glass and carbon)
  • MultiEVA core
  • 535 cm² head
  • Padelful sweet spot 9.2

Neuron 02 Comfort, CMF or Edge Comfort?

Three names, one racket. Tennisnuts lists the Neuron 02 Comfort 27, Central Sports the Neuron 02 CMF 27 under code 081641, and Padelful reviews it as the Neuron 02 Edge Comfort 2027. The giveaway is the head. Tennisnuts gives it a geometric shape and a 535 cm² face, which are the measurements of the Neuron 02 Edge, not of the rounder standard Neuron 02.

So think of it as the Edge with a softer face, rather than a comfier version of the plain Neuron. That matters if you've read reviews of one and are trying to work out whether they apply to the other.

What the Fibrix face changes

Fibrix flexes more than the Edge's Xtend Carbon 3K, and Padelful's scores show the result clearly. Control drops from 9.5 on the Edge to 8.4, and power from 8.7 to 8.0. In return the sweet spot jumps from 8.0 to 9.2, the same as the standard Neuron 02, and rebound reaches 9, so the ball leaves easily even when you're stretched or late.

That's a sensible trade for a lot of club players. The Edge is a precision tool that rewards clean contact and punishes the rest; the Comfort forgives the rest. If your game is attacking at the net but you spend a fair bit of every match scrambling off the back glass, this is the more useful racket of the two.

On court with the Neuron 02 Comfort

The net is where it shines. Volleys come off cleanly, quick reaction blocks are easy to manage, and Padelful scores its handling at 8.7, quicker than the Edge. The bandeja stays low without much effort and the vibora has enough bite for a controlled attack.

Further back, it's generous. Blocks, defensive lobs and balls off the wall come back deep without a big swing. The flip side shows up on touch: because the face helps so much, short drops and low lobs need a relaxed hand or they float long. And when you want to end a point with a flat smash, it lacks the crisp finish a stiffer face gives you. The feel is medium-soft and cushioned, which you'll either love or find a bit muffled.

The most controlled of Bullpadel's Comfort rackets

Bullpadel made three Fibrix-faced rackets for 2027, one in each of its main families, and they're not interchangeable. The Hack 05 Comfort has the most power. The Vertex 05 Comfort has the most bounce and the least control, going by Padelful's scores for its 2026 edition. The Neuron sits between them on power, leads on control and has the biggest sweet spot of the three.

Specs, and two lines the shops disagree on

The Tennisnuts listing gives 360 to 370 g, a 38 mm profile, a 535 cm² head, a Fibrix face and a three-layer MultiEVA core, with Bullpadel's PrismLock reinforcement to stop the head twisting on off-centre hits and Custom Weight plates if you want more mass at the top. Padelful agrees on the weight, core and face.

Balance and core are less settled. Tennisnuts calls the balance medium; one European shop puts it at about 26 cm, which would make it head-heavy. And one shop lists the core as a hard EVA rather than MultiEVA. We've gone with the two sources that agree and will check our stock when it arrives.

Who should buy it

Strong intermediates moving up to a pro-family racket, advanced players with a tired arm, and anyone who likes the Edge's shape but finds it unforgiving. It's a good fit for the right side as well as the left, since it defends so well. Our advanced padel rackets, best padel racket for intermediate and diamond padel racket pages have the alternatives, and the Bullpadel rackets page explains the families.

Not for you if

You want a crisp, direct feel on every shot, or you end most points with a flat smash. A cushioned Fibrix face takes the edge off both. The Neuron 02 Edge is the sharper tool, and the Hack 05 Comfort keeps more punch with the same soft face.

Grip, protection, balls and a bag

If comfort is the reason you're buying, carry the idea down to the handle with a Bullpadel Hesacore gel grip and see the padel grip page for sizing. A set of Bullpadel frame protectors keeps the wide head intact on low scoops.

A soft face makes the most of lively balls; a dozen Bullpadel Next Pro FIP balls is good value if you play weekly, and the padel balls page explains how fast they go flat. The Neuron racket bag matches the family, with the rest of the range on the padel bag page. For shoes, the Neuron 26I is Bullpadel's match for this line, and our padel shoes page covers soles for sand-filled courts. Still unsure on shape? The guide to choosing a padel racket and the full padel racket range are good places to start.

Bullpadel Neuron 02 Comfort Padel Racket (27): questions people ask

Is the Bullpadel Neuron 02 Comfort the same as the Neuron 02 Edge Comfort?

Yes. UK shops sell it as the Neuron 02 Comfort 27 or CMF 27, while Padelful and Spanish shops call it the Neuron 02 Edge Comfort 2027. It has the Edge's geometric 535 cm² head with a softer Fibrix face.

Is the Neuron 02 Comfort good for an intermediate player?

For a strong intermediate, yes. Padelful scores its sweet spot 9.2 and rebound 9, so it helps on defence and forgives off-centre hits. It suits players who already attack at the net and want a pro-family racket that is easy to live with.

Neuron 02 Comfort or Neuron 02 Edge: which should I buy?

The Edge is more precise and a little more powerful (control 9.5 against 8.4 on Padelful). The Comfort has a far bigger sweet spot (9.2 against 8.0) and a softer feel. Choose the Edge for clean contact, the Comfort for margin.

How heavy is the Bullpadel Neuron 02 Comfort 27?

Tennisnuts and Padelful list 360 to 370 g, about 5 g lighter than the carbon-faced Neuron 02 rackets. The head is 535 cm² and 38 mm thick.

Is the Neuron 02 Comfort easier on the elbow?

It is softer than the carbon-faced Neurons: Fibrix flexes more, Padelful rates the feel medium-soft, and Vibradrive in the handle damps vibration. No racket cures tennis elbow, but this is one of the gentler pro-family Bullpadels.

How long does a Fibrix face last on the Neuron 02 Comfort?

A Fibrix face holds up well with normal play. The core softens over time, which shows as more bounce and less control; frequent players usually notice it within a season or two. Frame protectors and keeping it out of heat help.
