Bullpadel Neuron 02 27 Padel Racket

Bullpadel has three things called Neuron, which doesn't help. The original Neuron ran for 2024 and 2025. The Neuron 02 replaced it for 2026 on a new mould, and this 27 is the same mould in 2027 colours: Padelful scores the 26 and 27 identically. Some UK shops, Tennisnuts and Central Sports among them, list it simply as the Neuron 27, under the same product code. The Neuron 02 Edge is a separate racket in the same family, with a diamond head and Bullpadel's Crystal Edge frame, aimed at controlled attackers.

Then there's the shape. Padelful and Tennis Warehouse Europe call the Neuron 02 a teardrop, Padel Nuestro calls it a hybrid, and at least one Spanish shop has filed it as a diamond. On court it behaves like a teardrop: the sweet spot sits just above the centre, and the head comes through quickly.

Long rallies are where it earns its keep. The 3K face and the dual-density core give a medium-hard touch that keeps the ball on the strings (well, on the face) for a beat, so lobs land deep and volleys go where you aimed them. Padelful's 2026 scores put control at 9.4, sweet spot 9.2 and manoeuvrability 8.5, and Tennis Warehouse Europe describes it as precision-focused.

Power is the honest trade. At 8.0 it is the gentlest hitter of Bullpadel's pro rackets, and the same testers say it is not the most powerful choice when you want to finish at the net. If most of your points end with your own smash, you'll miss the extra weight of a Vertex.

For the right player, though, it's the racket we'd recommend first from the whole Bullpadel range: the defender on the right side who keeps the ball in play until the other pair blinks.

Put Bullpadel's pro rackets on one chart and the Neuron 02 sits in the top-left corner: the most control for the least power. The Edge moves it a little to the right, with 8.6 for power and 9.6 for control but less rebound. The Vertex 05 Hybrid 27 lands just below it, with the same power score, a 12K face and more of the Vertex feel.

It suits advanced players and strong intermediates who already strike the ball cleanly and want a racket that rewards placement. Padelful's verdict calls it the balanced, forgiving option of the pair, and it is the easiest of Bullpadel's pro rackets to move up to from a teardrop. The advanced padel rackets page sets it among other brands' control frames, and the teardrop padel rackets page lists every teardrop we stock.

The family also includes a Neuron 02 Comfort 27 and last season's Neuron 02 Edge 26, which is the cheaper way into the Edge. For a softer feel there's the Neuron 02 Cloud 26, which swaps the carbon face and MultiEVA core for Elastic Fiber over CloudEva. Outside Bullpadel, the made-in-Spain Diablo Pro from Akkeron is a similar medium-balance control teardrop with a 12K face.

Long rallies mean sweaty hands, so a control player gets through overgrips quickly; a box of 60 Bullpadel overgrips makes sense if you play several times a week, and our padel grips page explains how often to change them. Frame tape such as Bullpadel Frame Pro protection tape protects the head on low defensive scoops, which a teardrop player makes all match; more options sit on the racket protector page.

A control game is built on lobs, and lobs need a lively ball, so buy by the dozen: Bullpadel Next Pro FIP balls come in fours of tubes, and the padel balls page covers how long a tube lasts. The Neuron racket bag and the Neuron 26I men's shoe match the colours; every shoe for sand-filled turf is on our padel shoes page.

Comparing more widely? The full padel racket range sits on one page, every Bullpadel we sell is on the Bullpadel rackets page, and our guide to choosing a padel racket explains shape and balance from the beginning.
