Bullpadel Neuron 02 Edge 27 Padel Racket

£296.97

The Bullpadel Neuron 02 Edge is the attacking member of the Neuron family, for advanced players who build the point with control and then want enough bite to finish it. This 27 edition puts a geometric, diamond-style head on a 3K carbon face and a firm HardEVA core, at 365 to 375 g with a medium balance.

It's the racket Fede Chingotto actually plays, rather than the standard Neuron 02 27 that carries his signature line. Padelful's 2026 scores put its control at 9.6, the highest of any Bullpadel racket we've covered.

What does Edge add to the Neuron 02?

Shape and firmness. The standard Neuron 02 is a teardrop with a dual-density core, the forgiving control racket of the range. The Edge swaps in Bullpadel's Geo Shape, a geometric head that Padel Nuestro files as a diamond, and a firmer HardEVA core. Same 3K face, same weight band, a sharper personality.

Padelful's 2026 scores show the effect. Power rises from 8.0 to 8.6 and control from 9.4 to 9.6, while rebound falls from 7.8 to 7.2 and the sweet spot barely moves (9.1 against 9.2). In other words, the Edge hits a little harder and places the ball a little more precisely, and gives less free depth off the back glass in return.

Bullpadel Neuron 02 Edge review: controlled aggression

Think of a player who keeps the ball low and deep until the opponent floats one, then volleys it away. That's the Edge. Padelful calls it a performance racket for advanced players and aggressive finishers, the touch is medium-hard, and the 3D Grain face grips the ball on slice and the vibora.

The smash is the honest limit. Testers say it lacks a violent finish, which is what you'd expect from a control racket with a medium balance. If you want the overhead to leave the court, the Hack 04 26 does that job, at the cost of a sweet spot almost a full point smaller.

Neuron 02 Edge 27, Edge 26 or the standard Neuron 02?

Last season's Neuron 02 Edge 26 is the same family in 2026 colours and the cheaper way into the Edge; Padelful rates it slightly softer, with a sweet spot of 9.1 against 8.0 for the 27. Bullpadel's 2027 listings now describe the head as Geo Shape and name the PrismLock and Hexacore frame structure, where 2026 listings talked about a Crystal Edge frame, so treat the 27 as the refined version rather than a different racket. Retailers don't agree on every detail: one UK sheet lists the face as 12K in its spec table and 3K in its copy. Bullpadel's other sources say 3K, which is what we go with.

How the Neuron 02 Edge is built

Bullpadel lists a long set of technologies for the 2027 Edge. In plain words: PrismLock and Hexacore stiffen the frame against twisting, the 3K face has a rough 3D Grain finish, HardEVA gives a firm and direct core, Vibradrive and Ease Vibe damp vibration in the handle and face holes, Air Power opens up a channel in the frame for a quicker swing, and CustomWeight lets you add plates to change the balance. The hitting area is listed at about 535 cm².

Who should buy the Neuron 02 Edge?

Advanced players with clean technique who win points by placement and want a racket that rewards a precise volley. It's a natural upgrade for someone who loves the Neuron 02 but wants a little more bite, or a Vertex player who'd trade some power for control. The diamond padel rackets and advanced padel rackets pages set it among other brands' options.

Not for you if

You're still developing, you want easy depth from the back, or you want the smash to do the work. The firm core and modest rebound ask for a full, clean swing. The standard Neuron 02 is the friendlier choice, the Neuron 02 Comfort keeps this head with a softer Fibrix face, and a round racket is better still for newer players.

Kitting out a Neuron 02 Edge

A firm racket feels better through a fresh grip: the Bullpadel Hesacore grip replaces the stock handle, and the padel grips page compares the options. Protect the frame with a pack of black Bullpadel frame protectors; see the racket protector page for more.

For balls, a Bullpadel Next Pro FIP tube suits competitive play, and our padel balls page explains why fresh pressure matters. The Neuron racket bag and the Neuron 26I men's shoe match the family; every shoe for sand-filled turf is on our padel shoes page. The full padel racket range, the Bullpadel rackets page and our guide to choosing a padel racket cover everything else.

Bullpadel Neuron 02 Edge 27 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Neuron 02 Edge 27 the same as the Neuron 02 Edge 2026?

It is the same family in its 2027 version. The 2027 listings describe a Geo Shape head and PrismLock frame where 2026 listings mention a Crystal Edge frame, so expect a refinement rather than a different racket. The 2026 Edge is listed separately.

Is the Bullpadel Neuron 02 Edge suitable for intermediate players?

Only strong intermediates with clean contact. It is built for advanced players and has a firm core and modest rebound. The standard Neuron 02 is the more forgiving step up.

What is the difference between the Neuron 02 and the Neuron 02 Edge?

The Edge has a geometric, diamond-style head and a firmer HardEVA core. Padelful scores it higher for power and control but lower for rebound, so it hits a little harder and gives less free depth.

How do I protect a Bullpadel Neuron 02 Edge?

Fit frame protectors before your first match, store it in a cover away from heat, and check any CustomWeight plates are firmly seated. Replace the frame tape when it wears through.

What does the Bullpadel Neuron 02 Edge weigh?

Bullpadel lists 365 to 375 g with a medium balance and a 38 mm profile. The hitting area is about 535 cm².

Which racket does Fede Chingotto use?

The pro tables list the Neuron 02 Edge as his match racket. The standard Neuron 02 belongs to his signature line too, but it is the friendlier teardrop version.
