Wilson Carbon Force Padel Racket

£79.96

The Wilson Carbon Force padel racket is a soft, forgiving carbon and fibreglass racket at about 365 g, aimed at improving players who want a bit more from their game without a stiff pro frame. A soft EVA core and a generous sweet spot make it comfortable to play, and it is the cheaper way into carbon in Wilson's line-up.

Padelful scores it 7.9 overall: rebound 8.5, sweet spot 8.4, control 8.1 and power 6.8. The shape is the awkward part. Padelful and Racquetpoint say teardrop, Tennis Warehouse EU says diamond, and the model year is labelled 2024 on one review site and 2025 here.

What the Carbon Force actually is

A composite racket, not a full-carbon one. Padelful lists fibreglass and carbon on both face and frame, over a soft EVA core, and Tennis Warehouse EU describes the blend as lighter than a fibreglass racket and more powerful. Add a Tri-Hex texture for spin, drilled holes for bite and a detachable wrist strap, and you have a lot of racket for a modest outlay.

Do not confuse it with the Carbon Force LT, which is lighter and listed with an all-carbon face. The name has been on the shelf for a few seasons, and listings disagree about its year, so judge it on the specs below rather than the label.

How it plays: forgiving first, punchy second

Think of a racket that tidies up your mistakes. The soft core cushions the hit and the sweet spot sits slightly above the centre of the face, which is why Padelful reads it as a stable, controlled racket that stays agile in quick net exchanges. Rebound is its best number, so a gentle swing still sends the ball deep.

Power is the soft spot, at 6.8. Padelful frames the Carbon Force as a technical player's racket with the occasional power shot, and that is a fair summary. A hard flat smash will not come from the frame alone, but a heavy bandeja and a tidy lob will.

Teardrop or diamond? What the listings say

Padelful calls it a tear shape at 365 g with no balance figure. Tennis Warehouse EU calls it a diamond at 365 g (give or take 10 g) with a 265 mm balance, a 548 cm² head and a 38 mm beam, and tags it for attack-minded intermediates. Racquetpoint, as it shows in search results, lists a teardrop at 265 mm.

The numbers match more than the shape word does. A 265 mm balance sits just above the middle, so in the hand it behaves like a teardrop that favours the net, whatever the retailer calls it. Core, weight and thickness agree everywhere.

Carbon Force or something else in the same bracket

The Carbon Force LT drops to 355 g and Padelful rates its manoeuvrability at 9.0, so it suits quicker, lighter hands. If budget decides, the round Wilson Match Point is the simplest starter, while the Wilson Blade Power, the firmer Wilson Blade V4 and the Wilson Accent LT are other Wilson options, and other brands offer soft teardrops such as the Head Evo Speed, the Head Vibe and the Dunlop FX Start.

Who should skip the Carbon Force

Anyone who wins points with the smash. Power is the lowest score and a soft core gives up some bite on fast balls. Players who already hit hard will find it too gentle, and our advanced padel rackets page covers the firmer options. Complete beginners may prefer our beginner padel rackets, where a plain fibreglass frame costs less.

Not for you if

You want a hard hitter's racket, you need a settled shape label before you buy or you want a guaranteed 2025 model. Padelful gives power 6.8 and tags its page 2024.

Setting it up

The textured composite face scuffs at the frame, so fit a racket protector early and change the grip from our padel grips range when it goes slick. Fresh padel balls, for instance the Wilson Premier Padel ball, suit a soft racket best, because a flat ball removes what little bite it has. Good padel shoes, a padel bag and a Wilson racket cover complete the kit.

Our guide to choosing a padel racket explains shape and weight, and the full padel racket range has the rest.

Wilson Carbon Force Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Wilson Carbon Force the same as the Carbon Force LT?

No. The LT is a separate, lighter racket at 355 g with an all-carbon face. The standard Carbon Force is about 365 g with a carbon and fibreglass composite.

Is the Wilson Carbon Force good for beginners?

It suits improving players best. The soft core and sweet spot are forgiving, but Tennis Warehouse EU rates it intermediate, and a plain fibreglass racket costs less if you are brand new.

Is the Wilson Carbon Force better than the Carbon Force LT?

Neither is better outright. The standard racket scores 7.9 on Padelful and the LT 8.2, but the LT is lighter and quicker and the standard is a little steadier.

How heavy is the Wilson Carbon Force?

Padelful and Racquetpoint list 365 g, and Tennis Warehouse EU lists 365 g with a 10 g tolerance. Expect a racket in that band.

Is the Wilson Carbon Force a teardrop or a diamond?

Padelful and Racquetpoint say teardrop. Tennis Warehouse EU says diamond. Both give a 265 mm balance, which sits just above the middle.

What year is the Wilson Carbon Force?

Sources disagree. Padelful tags its page 2024, our catalogue says 2025 and Tennis Warehouse EU gives no year. Judge it on the specs.
