Black Crown Piton Epic Energy Padel Racket (2025)

The Black Crown Piton Epic Energy padel racket is the power-leaning Piton for advanced players: a teardrop head with a 3K carbon face over an EVA PSM core, listed at 355 to 370 g with a medium-hard feel. Padelful scores its power at 9.1, the highest mark of any Black Crown racket we have covered.

Epic Energy review: the Piton for people who want to hit through the court

Padelful's scores read as a power racket with manners: power 9.1, control 8.6, rebound 8.0, sweet spot 7.8 and manoeuvrability 7.3, which gives 8.2 overall. The reviewer lists good energy return, a sweet spot that works from the baseline and quick acceleration at the net as the strengths.

The cons come with the territory. It needs more effort from the player, its harder attributes take time to master and it rewards attentive play. This is a racket you grow into, not one that forgives a lazy preparation.

Epic, Epic Energy or Piton Epic Energy?

Padelful files it as the Epic Energy 2025, retailers write Piton Epic Energy and some listings blur it with the plain Piton Epic. We are describing the Energy version. Face and level agree across sources, with a 3K carbon face and advanced players. The core is where they split: PSM EVA on Padelful and Padel Nuestro, Super Control Black EVA on one South African retailer.

Weight is 355 to 370 g, or 355 to 365 g on a Dutch listing. If you want a rounder racket with the same family name, the 2026 Piton 14 is the control-first version, and the Piton family page explains the generations. For a softer-cored advanced teardrop, the Special Elite is the more forgiving choice, while the Special Max is the harder-hitting flagship, and the Drop Shot Canyon Pro Attack 2.0 is a head-heavy diamond for the most aggressive players.

Who should skip the Epic Energy

Beginners, players with arm trouble and anyone who wants quick hands over raw power. A medium-hard core transmits more of the ball, and the manoeuvrability score is the lowest on the sheet. Newer players should start with our beginner padel rackets, and strong players weighing it against others can use the advanced padel rackets and teardrop padel rackets pages.

Not for you if

You want a forgiving racket, quick hands at the net or a soft feel. Manoeuvrability is 7.3 and the reviewer says it demands effort and attention.

Setting up an Epic Energy

Fit a racket protector first, because a hard hitter finds the glass often, then a fresh overgrip from the padel grips range. Quality padel balls and good padel shoes matter for a racket that rewards clean preparation, and a padel bag with a thermal pocket protects the face.
