Black Crown Patron Kore Padel Racket (2026)

£198.90

The Black Crown Patron Kore padel racket is the attacking Patron for 2026: a 24K carbon face over a 3XPlay EVA core, listed at 355 to 370 g, built for players who finish points from the air. Padelful rates it 8.1 overall, with power the top score at 8.6.

The price of that power is handling. Manoeuvrability is its lowest score at 7.4, and the review calls it less forgiving on late contact. Sources disagree on shape (diamond or hybrid), balance and even the frame material, which this page lays out.

Patron Kore review: easy power, harder defence

Padelful's pros read like a smasher's wish list: easy power on overheads, a usable sweet spot for a diamond-style racket, and a solid bandeja and vibora. Its scores follow: power 8.6, rebound 8.4, sweet spot 8.0, control 7.9 and manoeuvrability 7.4.

The cons are the other half of the deal. Defence asks for clean preparation, the head-biased feel slows hand changes at the net, and late contact gets punished. If you are the player who is always early to the ball, that is fine. If you are usually late, it will show.

Bar chart of Padelful ratings for the Black Crown Patron Kore 2026: power 8.6, rebound 8.4, sweet spot 8.0, control 7.9, manoeuvrability 7.4 and overall 8.1

Diamond or hybrid? Where the listings disagree

Padelful calls the Kore a diamond with a head-heavy feel. Padelshop calls it a hybrid and gives the balance as medium on one page and medium-high on others. The frame is carbon in Padelful's table but fibreglass in its review text, while Padelshop says 100 per cent carbon. Face and core agree everywhere: 24K carbon and 3XPlay EVA.

We cannot settle shape or balance from listings, so weigh the racket and check it in hand. For the 2025 sibling, see the Patron Gold, a lively all-rounder, and for a softer 2026 racket look at the Iconic. The firmer 2025 Patron Xtrem sits between the two, and the Piton Epic Energy is the other powerful Black Crown. A livelier, softer-cored teardrop is the Special Elite, and the brand's firmest hitter is the Special Max. Outside the brand, the Drop Shot Canyon Pro Attack 2.0 is the more extreme head-heavy diamond, the Hirostar Alien Core is a more controlled one, and the Canyon Pro Attack Soft is its gentler sibling.

Table comparing Padelful and Padelshop on the Black Crown Patron Kore 2026: shape, weight, balance, face, core and frame

Who should skip the Patron Kore

Beginners, players who defend a lot and anyone with a sore elbow. A head-biased racket with a 24K face is not a forgiving first racket, so start with our beginner padel rackets page instead. If you do want to attack, compare it with the rest of the diamond padel racket range and the wider advanced padel rackets list.

Not for you if

You play late to the ball, you spend most points defending or you want a published balance point. Manoeuvrability is its lowest score and the review says it is less forgiving.

Setting up a Patron Kore

Fit a racket protector before the first session, because a hard-hitting racket meets the glass more often. Add a fresh overgrip from the padel grips range, use proper padel balls and wear padel shoes that let you get set early. A padel bag with a thermal pocket protects the face.

Our guide to choosing a padel racket explains shape and balance, and the full padel racket range has the rest.

Black Crown Patron Kore Padel Racket (2026): questions people ask

Is the Black Crown Patron Kore the same as the Patron Gold?

No. The Kore is the 2026 racket with a 24K carbon face, and the Gold is the 2025 racket with a 12K face and a more all-round character.

Is the Patron Kore round, teardrop or diamond?

Padelful calls it a diamond and Padelshop calls it a hybrid. Either way it is a head-biased racket aimed at attacking players.

Is the Patron Kore good for intermediate players?

It is aimed at advanced players. A strong intermediate who already attacks can use it, but the review says it is less forgiving on late contact.

Is the Patron Kore head heavy?

Padelful describes a head-biased feel that slows hand changes. Padelshop lists medium or medium-high balance, so weigh it in hand.

How heavy is the Black Crown Patron Kore?

Listings give 355 to 370 g. Pick by feel, since the range is wide.

Does the Patron Kore have good power for smashes?

Yes. Power is its top Padelful score at 8.6 and the review lists easy power on overheads as a pro.
