Bullpadel Hack 04 Hybrid Cloud 26 Padel Racket

Shape and weight are shared; almost everything you hit the ball with isn't. The standard Hack 04 Hybrid 26 pairs an 18K carbon face with Bullpadel's MultiEVA core and a medium-hard touch. The Cloud swaps in Elastic Fiber, which Bullpadel describes as an extremely flexible fibre built for comfort and ball exit, over CloudEVA, an ultrasoft core. Tennis Warehouse Europe's sheet sums the result up as a softer, more forgiving feel.

Shops can't agree on what Elastic Fiber is. One calls the face fibreglass-based, Bullpadel just calls it Elastic Fiber, and Padelful's page manages to say both carbon and fibreglass for the frame. Bullpadel's own sheet, via Tennis Warehouse Europe, lists a CarbonTube frame, and that's what we go with.

Like a trampoline with good manners. Padelful scores its rebound at 9.3, the highest of any Bullpadel pro racket we've charted, so the ball leaves the face with very little effort and lobs from the back glass travel a long way. The testers liked the soft, arm-friendly impact and found it stable at the net and in defence.

Now the cost. Power falls to 6.3 against 8.6 for the standard Hybrid, and control drops from 8.9 to 7.8, because a face that gives that much also lets the ball fly when you only meant to touch it. Flat smashes don't explode, and sloppy contact still gets punished. So it isn't a beginner's comfort racket, despite the name. It's a comfort racket for someone who already plays properly.

Plot Bullpadel's pro rackets by power and rebound and the Cloud floats off on its own in the top-left corner. The flagship Hack 04 26 sits at the opposite extreme with a power score of 10. The Neuron 02 27 and the Vertex 05 Hybrid 27 occupy the middle ground, firmer than the Cloud and gentler than the Hack. The diamond member of the Cloud family, the Vertex 05 W Cloud, sits even higher on rebound.

Intermediate and advanced players who play often, defend a lot and want to keep playing three times a week without their arm complaining. Tennis Warehouse Europe lists it for intermediates; Padelful's testers pictured someone who lives in the transition game and still wants to handle overheads calmly.
